Marcus Rashford ‘levels below’ Luis Diaz in Barcelona transfer update
Marcus Rashford looks like he will have to wait until the end of the transfer window to find out if he can secure his dream move to Barcelona.
The England international has been angling for a move to Los Blaugranas this summer with a return to Villa Park or Old Trafford seemingly off the table.
Man United have told Rashford and four of his teammates not to report for pre-season at the same time as the rest of the squad, with Ruben Amorim and the club keen for the winger to secure a move away.
Thanks to a deal for Nico Williams falling through, Hansi Flick’s side remains in the market for a right-footed left winger.
But whilst Rashford is keen to be the man that Barcelona turn to, he is not the top priority for the Catalan giants, according to The Athletic.

Deco wants Luis Diaz at Barcelona
As reported, despite Barcelona’s initial approach for Luis Diaz being rebuffed this summer, the Colombian winger remains sporting director Deco’s top priority.
The former Chelsea midfielder views the Liverpool man as the best fit for what they want in a new attacker, on top of being more of a “ready-made footballer” than Williams.
Past Diaz, Rashford remains on Barcelona’s “wish list”, but the England international is “some levels below” the 28-year-old.
Spain’s champions are aware the United winger wants a move to the Nou Camp, and “that it could happen on favourable terms for them” as the Red Devils are keen to shift on their former star, and as a consequence, Los Blaugranas may be prepared to wait until later in the transfer window before making a move.

Man United should spark deal for Rashford exit
Football Insider Verdict
Rashford seems to have placed all his eggs in Barcelona’s basket this summer.
The England international’s ties with his boyhood club have been cut after falling out with Amorim and with the World Cup fast approaching, the winger is in need of regular first-team minutes.
But so far, it doesn’t feel like Rashford‘s interest in Barcelona is being reciprocated by the Catalan club.

Los Blaugranas are seemingly only keen on bringing the Englishman to Spain if the deal works on their terms and their terms alone.
With little interest from elsewhere and United needing funds this summer, the Red Devils may be inclined to approach Barcelona to seek out a deal, rather than letting the whole affair drag out across the course of the transfer window.
