Marcus Rashford: Pundit tips Man United fan ‘outrage’ after ‘really weird’ transfer development

Marcus Rashford may have no choice but to leave man United as his struggle for game time continues.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the England international’s future.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday (7 March) Rashford is considering his future and is concerned with his lack of playing time.

He was not named in the starting XI as Man United were smashed 4-1 by Man City on Sunday (6 March) despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani.

The attacker has only started nine Premier League games this season after starting the campaign with an injury that sidelined him until mid-October.

Kenny claims Rashford can’t stay at Old Trafford if he wants to have a successful career.

“There comes a point where you just have to cut your ties,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Obviously he’s barely been playing this season and he should be starting more games, a player of his calibre.

“If he can’t work something out then he will have to move on. He’s too good to be sat on the bench.

“A lot of Man United fans will be outraged but that’s just the way it is sometimes.

“He’s Man United through and through. I don’t think he will want to leave but he has to do what’s best for his career.

“He’s too good for the bench, he should be out there winning trophies.

“It’s a really weird one, this.”
