Marcus Rashford sends ‘great’ message to Aston Villa fans after key development
Aston Villa forward Marcus Rashford took to social media to send a message to the fans after making his debut in their 2-1 FA Cup win over Tottenham.
The 27-year-old replaced fellow January signing Donyell Malen in the 67th minute as Aston Villa secured a spot in the fifth round.
Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring for the home side after just two minutes, a player many Villa fans thought would suffer due to the arrival of Rashford.
In-form forward Morgan Rogers doubled Villa’s lead just two minutes before the Man United loanee came on, all but securing their spot in the next round.
Wonderkid Mathys Tel scored his first Tottenham goal in added time, but it was too little too late, and Villa progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The forward had been a key player for United before Ruben Amorim took over, starting 19 of his 24 games across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing three assists in his 1500 minutes of action.
He has since taken to Instagram to send a message to his new fans, saying: “Thank you for the warm welcome. Great team performance.”

Rashford could be in line to make his first Villa start in their Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday (February 15).
