‘Marcus Rashford to agree Man United loan move’ after new twist

Marcus Rashford could leave Man United on a loan deal in the January transfer window after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson admitted he “can’t see anything beyond a loan” due to the fee that United will likely want.

The 27-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until 2028, but he hasn’t been in the match-day squad in any of United’s previous four matches.

Amorim has publicly spoken out about Rashford’s situation and made it clear that dropping him is nothing to do with injury or fitness.

Football Insider revealed that Rashford is attracting interest from clubs both in and out of the Premier League, and the club would accept an offer of around £40million for him.

A loan move could be Marcus Rashford’s only option to leave Man United

“After what’s happened at Manchester United and Old Trafford and what Marcus Rashford and what’s been said, I just can’t see how we can carry on there,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“He’s got a contract, a long contract, he’s on big wages.

“United are going to want a fee that will price a lot of people out for a 27-year-old.

“He hasn’t got a future there, there’s no sense in keeping him.

“If the manager’s not going to use him, it’s not a definite deal, but I suspect it’s one both parties would like to do.

A Rashford sale would mean 100% profit on his transfer fee received.

“But I can’t see anything beyond a loan, in all honesty.

“That’s getting more and more likely now, after what’s been said in the last two or three days.”
