Marcus Rashford to be ‘hell of a signing’ for Arsenal from Man United
Marcus Rashford has been suggested as a major potential signing for Arsenal by Joe Cole amid uncertainties over the attacker’s Old Trafford career.
It has been another tough season for the England international with the Red Devils, with seven goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.
After a challenging 2023/24 campaign as well, supporters are now expecting the 27-year-old to leave in January, amid reports the club are open to selling him.
Cole has now suggested that if Rashford is to depart Man United when the transfer window reopens, Arsenal should be ready to pounce with a move for the attacker.
Speaking on TNT Sports Goals Show Extra (11 December, 10:35pm) about potential transfer targets for Mikel Arteta’s side, the former Chelsea and England winger said: “I’ll throw one in for you. Reports today Marcus Rashford may be moved on. He would be a hell of a signing, because that’s where they’ve got to shop now Arsenal, on the left side.
“They’ve got to shop [for] the very, very top players to improve this Arsenal team.”

Even with some of his below-par recent form, the 27-year-old would surely still be a good addition for the Gunners if he moves to The Emirates.
Much of Rashford’s best form in recent years has come on the left-wing, where Arteta is not exactly brimming with top level options.
Raheem Sterling is only on loan with Arsenal until the end of the season and is yet to hit top form, while Gabriel Martinelli could also be under scrutiny after a disappointing campaign.

If they are to compete for trophies they will need to have the very best options in every single position so strengthening the left-wing may be a priority.
Despite some of his recent struggles, Rashford has shown in the past that he is capable of being one of the best performers in the Premier League.
If he could rediscover that he would be a major asset for Arsenal if they get him, and a change of scenery could potentially do him good in that respect after so long at Old Trafford.
