Martin Keown predicts Tottenham v Liverpool

By Dominic Toner

Martin Keown has predicted that Tottenham will draw when they travel to Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Spurs face Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League and will go six points behind leaders Chelsea with a victory.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are regarded as the main contenders to challenge title favourites Chelsea for the crown and will be desperate for the three points at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp’s side have slipped outside the top four after five league games without a win and will be looking to turn the corner.

Ex-Arsenal defender Keown has predicted a 1-1 draw between the two sides and feels it’s a crucial game for both of them.

“Both teams’ seasons hinge on this game. There is too much to lose for either team so I can see this being a draw,” Keown told the Daily Mail.

Spurs managed to scrape through their last game against Middlesbrough 1-0, with Harry Kane scoring the winner from the penalty spot.

The north London club are currently second-placed in the table and are attempting to chase down the runaway leaders.

Pochettino’s team are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games and have proven to be one of the most consistent sides in the division this season.

However, their title aspirations could be in tatters if they suffer a defeat to Liverpool and Chelsea record a victory over Burnley on Sunday.
