Martin Odegaard reacts to Oscar Bobb after Man City exit plan revealed
There has been an update on Oscar Bobb’s Manchester City future, and his latest social media post has caught the attention of Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.
Bobb featured in just three Premier League games for City last season, after suffering a leg fracture just a week before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Norway international made his way through the Manchester-based side’s academy before breaking into the first team.
However, after effectively losing a whole season to injury, the 21-year-old’s development will have taken a massive hit.

Bobb set for loan move
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Man City are prepared to accept loan offers for Oscar Bobb this summer to help him get back up to speed.
Season | Games | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 3 | 0 | 0 |
2023/24 | 14 | 1 | 1 |
It is thought that the Norwegian is not viewed as a first-team regular by Guardiola, so he will need to move elsewhere for consistent game time.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Bobb jetted off on international duty with Norway, featuring in both games as the Scandinavian side beat Italy and Estonia in World Cup qualifiers.
The youngster took to Instagram to share some photos from the matches, with teammate Martin Odegaard commenting three-star emojis under his post.
City seal double signing ahead of CWC
Football Insider Verdict
Ahead of competing in the revamped Club World Cup later this month, Man City have announced two separate incomings, as they attempt to add quality to their squad.
As the moves were confirmed before Tuesday’s (10 June) 7pm deadline, both players will be eligible to feature in the upcoming competition.
City have secured the signature of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, sealing a deal worth £36.3m for the full-back.
Guardiola’s side have also brought in Rayan Cherki from Lyon, after the 21-year-old impressed last season in Ligue 1, scoring eight goals and picking up 11 assists in 30 appearances.
Man City expected to announce Tijjani Reijnders’ incoming in the near future, but as it stands, the midfielder will not be joining ahead of the Club World Cup.
