Mason Mount sends message after major new Man United development

Man United midfielder Mason Mount has taken to social media to send a message to fans after Ruben Amorim took charge of his first training session.

Highly regarded Portuguese manager Amorim, 39, was announced as the successor for Erik ten Hag at the start of the month (November 1st) but had to wait until after the international break to officially take charge.

He has since taken charge of his first training session as the new United boss on Monday (November 18) ahead of their Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Sunday (November 24).

Amorim still has a few injuries to contend with Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, and Kobbie Mainoo all major doubts.

Mason Mount determined to kick start Man United career

One player who is available, however, is Mount, 25, who sustained a head injury in their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Tottenham and has had just 146 minutes of senior action in all competitions this season.

With Amorim’s new era well underway, Mount seems determined to make an impression, taking to Instagram to send a message to fans.

Mount’s Man United career has been plagued by injury issues, making just 26 appearances since making the move from Chelsea in 2023.

It’s unclear where exactly Mount would fit into Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation but he is capable of playing on the left wing, in various midfield roles as well as a more traditional number 10.
