‘Massive’ Aribo sale tipped to trigger flurry of Rangers signings in January – Glasgow pundit
Rangers will have to sell Joe Aribo for “massive” money before they can bring anyone in during the January window.
That’s according to former Celtic hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider claims a high-profile exit could trigger a flurry of signings.
A Rangers source has told Football Insider (19 October) that the club will demand a £10million-plus transfer fee for Aribo in January.

The midfielder has been in sensational form under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, scoring three goals and providing two assists in nine games.
McAvennie insists the Gers will only recruit if a high-profile player such as Aribo leaves.
“I just have a feeling,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Rangers will want to sign players in January, or rather, van Bronckhorst will want his own squad.
“He’s doing really well with this one but every manager wants their own players in, that’s just a fact.
“But Rangers have a massive squad and I don’t know if they have the money to make any massive multi-million quid deal.
“I just don’t see it. There has been a lot said about Joe Aribo going, that would be a major mistake.
“If he goes for massive money they will have to replace him, and I can see that.
“Then they will have a bit of money left over I imagine but if that offer doesn’t come in then why would they sign anyone?
“I’m not sure there is a point. I only see people arriving if a high-profile player leaves.”

The Gers are six points clear at the top of the league.
They are next in action against Aberdeen on 18 January.
