Celtic player ratings in win v Zenit: 9/10 ace is clear MOTM
MIDFIELD
James Forrest – 7: Not at his very best but still caused the Russians plenty of problems, the second leg seems made for him to run at Zenit on the counter-attack
Scott Brown- 8: Bossed one of those midfield battles that he loves, was the fulcrum of everything was good about Celtic and helped to establish the domination of the midfield area
Kieran Tierney – 8: Played in a more forward role as a winger and created havoc when he had the ball, also did well defensively when he had in yet another excellent performance
Olivier Ntcham – 7: Started off the match very well and almost gave the Hoops the lead with a shot just past the post, faded a bit in the second-half but still played well
Eboue Kouassi – 8: A bit of a surprise choice but he dominated the midfield, can see why Brendan Rodgers was so keen to sign the player who could be the natural successor to Brown
Callum McGregor – 9: The match-winning ace recovered from a relatively poor start to create all kinds of havoc in his role as the support striker to Dembele, his goal was superbly taken too. Man of the match
