Gabby Agbonlahor has told Glen Kamara to reject a potential move to Arsenal and stay with Rangers.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted no Rangers player should want to quit Ibrox as they are building "something special".

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara

Kamara spent five years at the north London outfit but made just one appearance for the senior side in the EFL Cup.

He linked up with Dundee four years ago before signing for Rangers in January 2019 for a bargain £50,000 fee.

The 25-year-old has since played over 100 times for the Light Blues and has been a key part of the side that won the club's historic 55th title this season.

Asked whether he could be tempted by a move back to the English capital, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Is he guaranteed to play? That’s what you’ve got to think about.

“You’re leaving something special and you might end up playing for Arsenal Under-23s on a Tuesday night. The grass isn’t always greener.

“Nobody who is at Rangers now should leave Rangers in the summer, no way.”

Kamara has missed just five games across all competitions this season and has registered two goals and two assists in 49 appearances.

Rangers are set to return to the Champions League next term after over a decade outside the competition.
