Celtic chiefs are furious with agent David Moss for paving the way for another of their young stars to sign for Bayern Munich, Football Insider can reveal.

This site reported yesterday that the 16-year-old forward Barry Hepburn has agreed in principle to swap Parkhead for the Bundesliga giants, just as fellow academy product Liam Morrison did last summer.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club hierarchy are especially unhappy with Moss' role in negotiating Hepburn's deal.

The agent has used his Bayern contacts to once again facilitate a transfer of a Scotland youth international for whom the Hoops have high hopes he can make it at first-team level.

That is now unlikely to be at Celtic as, barring any last-minute hitches, Hepburn is set to complete a transfer to Germany in the summer.

He has so far rejected the Scottish champions' attempts to secure him to a professional contract.

He is currently on a youth contract, but has been eligible to sign professional terms since he turned 16 at the start of last month.

Capped by Scotland at Under-17 level, Hepburn is poised to join the exodus of young British stars to the Continent.

Morrison made the move from Celtic to Bayern last summer, a deal that was also facilitated by Moss.

The teenager has caught the eye of the Champions League giants' scouts with his performances in Celtic's and Scotland's youth sides.

Due to Fifa cross-border rules, the Hoops are only in line to receive minimal compensation from Bayern for Hepburns's training and development costs.
