Man City are uncertain about Jack Grealish's future at the club as new concerns arise about his recent performances.

This is according to former Man United and Aston Villa scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that City could consider selling the attacking midfielder next summer.

Grealish, 29, has struggled to make an impact when called upon for City this season and has now gone without scoring a goal since the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace in December 2023.

So far this term, he has started just five league games despite the team's difficulties as they have now won just one of their last 11 games in all competitions.

His current contract at the Etihad is set to run until 2027, but the club are weighing up whether that time could be cut short in the summer of 2025.

This comes amid speculation that City will spend big money on refreshing their squad in the upcoming transfer windows following their dramatic dip in form.

Man City plot Jack Grealish sale as concerns continue to rise

Brown previously told Football Insider on 5 November that City could be open to offers for Grealish at the end of the season.

Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after spending over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Grealish must prove he deserves to remain a key part of Guardiola's side.

"I'm a big fan of Jack Grealish since we had him at Villa," he told Football Insider.

"But now I'm seeing him and every time I'm wondering when he's going to make something happen.

"I'm told people at City have been asking questions about his recent performances, too.

"Sometimes you forget to look at your big-name players if they're not actively making mistakes, but you have to question whether they're making enough of an impact.

"I would suggest, based on recent performances, he hasn't been.

"There's been a lot of talk about City looking to refresh their squad, and I think he's someone who they might consider selling in the summer.

"They're certainly going to consider his future and where they believe he fits in.

"If he doesn't start performing soon, they'll be considering whether he still has a part to play in Guardiola's team, because recently he hasn't shown enough on that front."
