Tottenham are set to announce the transfer of Jack Clarke to Leeds United at the start of next week, Football Insider understands.

The two clubs are in the final stages of tying up a deal worth up to a potential £12million for the 18-year-old winger and they are now completing the paperwork.

Tottenham and Leeds source have told Football Insider that the plan at this stage is for Clarke to be announced and unveiled as a Spurs player on Monday.

He will become the Champions League finalists' first signing since Lucas Moura arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in January of last year for £25million.

The teenager has settled the terms of a five-year contract worth £20,000-a-week plus various top-up bonuses, although the fifth year is believed to be an option in the club's favour.

Clarke told Leeds earlier this week that he wanted to make the move to the Londoners as he becomes the fifth Elland Road academy player to quit the club in a big-money transfer in three-and-a-half years.

Sam Byram joined West Ham in January of 2016, Lewis Cook headed to Bournemouth the following summer, Charlie Taylor signed for Burnley in August 2017, Ronaldo Vieira moved to Sampdoria last summer and now Clarke is making the biggest move of the quintet.

Leeds fans will now hope that no other key players follow Clarke out of Elland Road this window.
