Matheus Cunha responds to ‘weak’ Emmanuel Agbadou message after Wolves beat West Ham
Matheus Cunha responded to a cryptic message from teammate Emmanuel Agbadou on social media in the wake of Wolves’ 1-0 win over West Ham.
Cunha was serving the final match of a ban, having grabbed Liverpool target Milos Kerkez by the neck in the Old Gold’s FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth on 1 March, missing out on the match against the Hammers.
In spite of the Brazilian’s absence, Wolves secured a vital win over West Ham, near enough guaranteeing their survival from relegation.
Agbadou joined from Stade Reims in January and has immediately become a key figure in Vitor Pereira’s side, marshalling a back five to great effect against the Irons.

Emmanuel Agbadou sends ‘strong’ message to Wolves fans
Following the win over West Ham, Agbadou posted several photos of himself in action on Instagram, captioned: “DIEU choisi les choses faible du monde pour confondre les fortes”, which translates to: “GOD chooses the weak things of the world to confound the strong”.
Cunha then responded with two emojis of hands making a love-heart shape, showing support for his teammate after a fantastic result for the club.
The win makes it three games unbeaten in the Premier League for the Old Gold, who will face off against Ipswich on Saturday (5 April), looking to extend the gap between themselves and the Tractor Boys to 12 points.
Wolves may be relegated next year without Matheus Cunha’s goals
Football Insider Verdict
Whilst Cunha has now missed four-matches thanks to his moment of madness against Bournemouth, he remains vitally important to Wolves.
However, Cunha seems destined to leave Molineux this summer, with Nottingham Forest leading a pack of clubs, hungry to secure the 25-year-old’s signature.
The Brazilian and Jorgen Strand Larsen are the only players to reach double digits for goals this season, with Joao Gomes next on the list with three strikes.

Whilst the Norwegian striker has stepped up well in Cunha’s absence, Strand Larsen has only scored three times this calendar year, with two of them coming against a dismal Southampton team.
Wolves must find either more support to build around their striker or a replacement for Cunha’s magic from behind the striker if they are to avoid relegation next season.
