Matheus Cunha sends message to Wolves fans after confirmed transfer news
Wolves striker Matheus Cunha took to social media to seemingly shut down talk that he is looking to leave the club in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old scored an added-time goal in their 2-0 Premier League win over rivals Aston Villa before pointing to the Molineux turf and making a love heart with his hands, indicating his intention to stay at the club.
Wolves have since confirmed that Cunha has signed a new deal at the club, keeping him in the West Midlands until the summer of 2029.
Pereira’s side are still looking to bolster their defence before the end of the window, Football Insider revealed they’re ready to battle it out with Crystal Palace for Danhilo Doekhi.
Matheus Cunha not going anywhere after committing his future to Wolves after Aston Villa win
Cunha has been a shining light in a poor Wolves season, starting 21 of his 24 games across all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and providing four assists in his 1897 minutes of action.
The Brazilian took to Instagram after the win over local rivals Aston Villa to share a defiant message regarding his future, simply saying: “No words needed.”

There was one moment of controversy in their win over Villa, with one Sky Sports pundit believing their equaliser should not have been ruled out by VAR.
Wolves will turn their attention from the Premier League relegation battle to the FA Cup on Sunday (February 9) as they travel to Blackburn.
