Matheus Cunha sends message to Wolves fans amid exit speculation after Man City loss
Matheus Cunha has sent a message to Wolves fans amid growing speculation he is set to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian has enjoyed an outstanding individual campaign this season, with his goals proving vital to keeping the Molineux outfit in the Premier League.
However, that form has also attracted plenty of interest from elsewhere in the striker, with Man United apparently confident they can sign Cunha in the summer.
Amid those rumours, some Wolves fans have suggested they do not want Cunha to play for the club again, following comments from the striker indicating he wants to move on in the summer.
Despite that, the 25-year-old has so far continued to play a part for Vitor Pereira‘s side in the intervening period.

Matheus Cunha reflects on Man City clash
After an extended ban for Cunha following his sending off against Bournemouth in the FA Cup, the striker has enjoyed a run in the side since that ended.
On Friday (2 May), the Brazilian was named in the starting lineup for Wolves as they travelled to the Etihad Stadium.
Ultimately, Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the game to seal a 1-0 win for Man City, bringing an end to a six-game winning run for Pereira’s side.

In the end, Cunha would 85 minutes of that match, going close by striking the post, before being withdrawn and replaced by Hwang Hee-Chan.
After the game, the 25-year-old took to his Instagram story to pay tribute to the travelling Wolves fans for their support at the Etihad, by writing: “Thank you all for the support, today was very close.”

Wolves will miss their top scorer if he moves on
Football Insider Verdict
It does feel as though Cunha is going to be moving on from Wolves in the summer given the interest he has attracted and his comments about moving on.
Should that be the case it will be a rather frustrating situation for those at Molineux, given they have shown they have the potential to push on under Pereira next season.
Cunha is a player who has the quality to help take this team to the level, but it appears as though he may not be there to help them do that.
With that in mind not being able to keep him will feel like a missed opportunity, and that will put the pressure on Wolves to bring in an adequate replacement in the transfer market.
