Mathys Tel sends four-word message to Tottenham fans after arrival

Tottenham forward Mathys Tel took to social media to send an excited message to the fans after completing his move to the Premier League club.

The 19-year-old joined Ange Postecoglu's side from German giants Bayern Munich on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy for a reported fee of £45million.

Several Tottenham stars took to social media to welcome Tel, having beat Premier League rivals Man United, Arsenal, and Chelsea to his signature.

Tottenham launched a late-window, £70million bid for Marc Guehi as a potential solution to their defensive injury crisis, but their offer was ultimately rejected by Crystal Palace.

Spurs did manage to get one defender in ahead of deadline day, signing Kevin Danso on loan with an obligation to buy for a reported fee of £21million.

The youngster had limited chances under Vincent Kompany at Bayern, starting just four of his 14 games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing one assist in his 458 minutes of action.

Tel took to Instagram after his signing was announced to send an excited message to his new fans, simply saying: "Come on your Spurs!"

Postecoglu's side have seriously struggled this season, sitting in 14th with eight wins, three draws, 13 defeats, and 27 points from their 24 Premier League games.
