McLeish shares ‘100%’ Aaron Ramsey claim ahead of Rangers clash
Aaron Ramsey will “100%” start for Rangers as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Braga on Thursday.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gers’ chances of progressing in the Europa League.
Rangers welcome Braga to Ibrox on Thursday (14 April), looking to overturn last week’s 1-0 loss.
Ramsey, 31, was on press duty ahead of the game and he admitted “I came here to play in these huge games”.
McLeish claims the midfielder is certain to start as he is “very, very important” to any hopes of progressing.
“There is talk about him definitely playing in these big games,” McLeish told Football Insider deputy editor Russell Edge.
“He was signed so Rangers could try and retain the title. That looks as if it’s gone now.
“So maybe to win a trophy or two. Now Rangers are doing fantastic in Europe.
“It doesn’t matter who has been picked, whoever it is has fared better in that competition.
“Let’s not forget, there is the home advantage against Braga, it’s a great opportunity.
“We know how tough the away team can make it though, look at what Chelsea did to Real Madrid last night.
“I really feel that Ramsey is very, very important for the team. It’s vital, 100%, he must play.”

Ramsey has made eight appearances for Rangers since joining the club in January.
He has scored twice and provided one assist.
