McManus: This is when Ange Postecoglou will leave Celtic to join ‘bigger’ club
Ange Postecoglou will look to leave Celtic once he has won everything in Scotland.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Hopps manager’s future.
On 7 October, sources told this site that the Green and Whites have opened talks with the Australian over a new and improved contract after submitting a “huge” offer.

The 57-year-old was appointed on a one-year rolling contract in July 2021.
The Parkhead bosses are aware of interest from Premier League clubs such as Brighton and Wolves and are keen to tie down the Australian.
McManus claims Postecoglou will be able to secure a move to “bigger” clubs if he wins the treble this season.
“Celtic are a huge club, they are as big as anyone,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“It’s just the standard of the league. Every manager wants to manage in the Premier League. It’s the best league in the world and that’s down to the cash.
“It used to be La Liga with Barcelona and Real Madrid. If you are a manager or a player you want to go there and test yourself.
“I know there were links with Brighton and Wolves but I think the key for Ange is to win the treble this year.
“If he does that, and there is every chance of them doing that, then he can make some inroads. If he does that then I think bigger clubs, no disrespect to the ones who have come calling for him, will be linked with him.
“I think he has proven that he is a good manager. The improvement in Celtic since he arrived has been massive, they are really attacking and the fans love it.

“Celtic fans would love him to stay forever but you look at Brendan Rodgers and, there is a saying in Scotland, there is only so much you can win.
“I think once he starts to dominate in Scotland and qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League then Ange will see that as him doing his job and he will want to move to England.”
