McTominay tipped to be ‘key player’ under Rangnick after ‘exceptional’ Man United reveal via Sky – pundit
Paul Robinson has suggested Scott McTominay will be a “key player” for new Man United manager Ralf Rangnick.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs and England number one said McTominay, 24, had his “best game in a United shirt” at Chelsea.

On Monday, United confirmed the appointment of Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis until the end of the season.
When asked by Football Insider if McTominay would benefit from the German’s arrival, Robinson said: “United set up very defensively on Sunday.
“I thought it was McTominay’s best game in a United shirt though. He covered a lot of ground. He protected his back four exceptionally well.
“There was times in the last 20 minutes when United were playing six at the back. They offered no real attacking threat other than occasionally on the counter attack.
“McTominay played extremely well though, it has to be said.
“Rangnick has developed teams and improved players and perhaps McTominay could benefit from that. He could be a key player for Rangnick between now and the end of the season.”

McTominay has made 15 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.
