Medical booked: Bournemouth agree Moriah-Welsh deal with Hibernian – Sources
Hibernian have agreed a deal to sign Bournemouth midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh, sources have told Football Insider.
It is understood that the 21-year-old has travelled to Edinburgh for talks and a medical ahead of finalising the move.
Moriah-Welsh is set to join Hibs on a permanent deal once the medical is complete and contracts are signed.
He was deemed excess to requirements by the coaching staff at Bournemouth having fallen down the pecking order at the Vitality Stadium.
Moriah-Welsh has made two total appearances for the Cherries during his time on the south coast with both coming in the FA Cup during the 2021/22 season.
He spent the 2022-23 season on loan at League Two side Newport County where he scored three times in 46 appearances for the Welsh side.
Moriah-Welsh became an important player during his loan stint, missing just four league matches all season as he helped the Exiles to a 15th-placed finish in League Two.

However, he has failed to break into Andoni Iraola’s first-team plans since his return to Bournemouth and has been allowed to find a new club.
He is set to join Hibernian for the second half of their league campaign in Scotland and could make his debut as soon as Saturday (3 February) when they host St Mirren.
