Sam Surridge has passed a medical at Stoke City ahead of his move from Bournemouth, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old forward is set to move to the Bet365 Stadium after the two clubs agreed a £2million fee.

A Potters source has told Football Insider that Surridge will sign a four-year deal today (Tuesday).

Stoke are in the market for new forwards after Sam Vokes left the club to join Wycombe Wanderers.

Tyrese Campbell is also out with a long-term knee injury, leaving the Potters short in attack.

Surridge may not be the only incoming at Stoke as yesterday (2nd August) Football Insider revealed Man City striker Liam Delap is also in advanced talks with the club.

Michael O'Neill is looking to improve on last season's 14th placed finish in the Championship.

In Surridge, Stoke are signing a proven Championship operator with bags of potential.

The forward has 49 second-tier outings to his name and has scored eight goals in the competition.

These goals mainly came through substitute appearances as last season he played second fiddle to Dominic Solanke.

Surridge can play as an out and out forward or as a wide attacker as he did for Bournemouth at times last year.

However, Surridge hasn't kicked a ball in a competitive game since May 1st.

He was on the bench for the Cherrys' last Championship game and was not used in their unsuccessful play-off campaign.

The former Swansea striker leaves the Vitality Stadium after making 47 appearances for the club.
