Michael Beale begins Rangers ‘clear out’ as talks revealed – pundit
Michael Beale wants to “clear out” his Rangers squad before the end of the summer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie is uncertain about the quality of the new signings at Ibrox.
Beale has made nine signings so far after the arrival of Jose Cifuentes was confirmed by the club on Friday (4 August).
He joins Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Dujon Sterlin, Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland, Leon Balogun and Abdallah Sima at Ibrox.
The Gers have already lost first team regulars Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield following the expiration of their contracts.
Antonio Colak has also departed just a year after his arrival in Glasgow.
Last week (25 July), Football Insider revealed that Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign Glen Kamara.
Teammate Fashion Sakala is also closing in on an exit and is reportedly in talks with Saudi Arabian side Al-Fayha.
When asked if it is time for Sakala to move on, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I think Beale is wanting to clear out everyone.

“He has got a lot of players in, I think the likes of Sima has to do better now that the season has started for his own sake.
“It is hard at Celtic and Rangers as soon as you walk in the door it is a reality check because the fans do not accept anything but a win. Hopefully out of the nine some of them have got it.“
