Mills: Everton handed major Calvert-Lewin boost after confirmed news in last 48 hours
Danny Mills has claimed the run of postponements will have a “positive impact” on Everton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender suggested it would allow them to welcome players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin back for their next game.
Everton were last in action on 16 December when they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Since then they have had fixtures with Leicester City, Burnley and Newcastle United all postponed.
The latest came on Tuesday (28 December) when it was confirmed Newcastle would not visit Goodison Park tonight (30 December) due to a covid outbreak within their squad.
“It might benefit them,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“With the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin coming back in that time. There will be one or two other players coming back too.
“They were down to the bare bones with injuries. That couple of weeks might have given them a little bit of a reset.
“It’s an opportunity to get one or two players back that they didn’t have previously. Plus, it’s a chance for Rafa to work on things on the training ground as those players do come back.
“A lot of their issues were injuries. Yes, there were covid issues but a lot of the big players were injured, rather than just covid issues.
“That can have a positive impact on Everton if Rafa’s had time to work on the training ground.”

BBC Sport reported earlier this month (22 December) Calvert-Lewin was set to return to the matchday squad on Boxing Day.
The striker has not featured for the Blues since scoring three goals in the opening three Premier League games.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed the potential real reason Everton haven’t sacked Benitez as talks are confirmed.
