Mills: 'Incredible' Coady would be good Tottenham signing amid Carragher reveal
Conor Coady would be a “really good signing” for Tottenham, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender insisted Coady has been “incredible” for Wolves in recent years.
Football Insider revealed on 2 August Spurs have opened preliminary talks over signing the Wolves captain.
Tottenham want to sign two new centre-backs before the transfer window closes.
Nuno Espirito Santo is a big fan of the 28-year-old after working together at Molineux.
Coady has missed just one game for Wolves since they returned to the Premier League in 2018.

He was made club captain by Nuno ahead of the 2018-19 season and has led the club to the Europa League quarter-final in 2020.
His performances led to an England call up last year and he was part of the squad that reached the European Championship final this summer.
The Liverpool academy graduate revealed after his first call up last September, via Express & Star, that Jamie Carragher had played a big role in his journey.
Coady played alongside Carragher in his only two appearances for Liverpool and Carragher has regularly offered him advice since.
“Tottenham still need a centre-half or two,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“They’re still light in that area, you would say.
“Nuno knows him from Wolves and Coady has done incredibly well at Wolves.
“He’d be a really good signing, I think.”
Coady has played 275 times across all competitions for Wolves and has five England caps.
Despite being labelled by assistant coach Steve Holland as England’s “player of the tournament” he did not feature at this summer’s Euros.
