Mills tips Kral to make ‘instant’ West Ham impact after Soucek reveal
Alex Kral can make an “instant” impact at West Ham, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England right-back claimed the presence of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal will help Kral settle in at West Ham.
The Czech Republic midfielder moved to east London on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan from Spartak Moscow.
Football Insider understands they have an option to make the deal permanent for £17million next summer.
Kral was on international duty with Coufal and Soucek when the deal was completed and they all appeared alongside each other on a video posted to Twitter to announce the signing.
As well as representing the Czech Republic together, including at this summer’s European Championship, the trio also played together at Slavia Prague earlier in their careers.
Asked whether that will help Kral hit the ground running for the Hammers, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Without a doubt.
“Instantly, those two are there to look after him. They’re settled in now and I’m assuming they don’t live in hotels anymore.
“They can just say ‘Come out with us, we can give you a lift to training and we’ll show you the ropes’.
“He’s got someone he can talk to when he’s in the dressing room. He can just ask ‘How does this work?’ Familiar aces help you settle in.
“Imagine if you change your job and you’ve got a couple of ex-colleagues there who can help you.

“It just gives you that little bit of calmness and assurances. Then there’s the social side.
“All these little bits really do help.”
