‘Miserable’ – Nottingham Forest fans destroy ‘unsettled’ new signing as new footage emerges
Nottingham Forest supporters have already given up on Arnaud Kalimunedo after what he was seen doing against Leeds United.
Forest secured a 3-1 win over Leeds at the City Ground ahead of the international break, condemning an under-pressure Daniel Farke to his sixth Premier League defeat of the campaign.
It was a dramatic turnaround for Sean Dyche‘s side after giving the lead away to Lukas Nmecha, a goal which was instantly cancelled out by Ibrahima Sangare, before Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson both netted.
With the Reds still in the relegation zone, however, the manager has several new players to embed into the squad, such as Man City academy graduate James McAtee and exciting forward Kalimuendo.
Arnaud Kalimuendo frustrates fans with Leeds United reactions
The 23-year-old Frenchman has struggled to adapt to football in England, though, and the player is now facing backlash after appearing not to celebrate any of Forest’s goals on the club’s bench cam against Leeds.
Kalimuendo has just 66 minutes of Premier League football under his belt since arriving at the City Ground, and some supporters are already calling for the player to be offloaded in January.
- @GrapsTalk: “Kali clearly not comfortable, looks unsettled. Credit to Sangare for trying to get him involved, though.”
- @MonnyDachismo: “If he’s not playing, he will be loaned out in the January window, so I wouldn’t be overly worried.”
- @JosephG43270873: “No! Kalimuendo out.”
Sean Dyche is remaining patient with Kalimuendo
While some supporters are ready to throw in the towel already, the manager has taken a much more relaxed approach and will likely reap the rewards later in the season.
Speaking after the frustrating draw against Sturm Graz, Dyche said: “We’ve had players playing who ideally you wouldn’t just throw into a game like this.
“You’d try to give them games away from this sort of competition to get them ready. More so with Kali (Kalimuendo); he’s been thrown in at the deep end a little bit.“
The former Everton boss clearly understands that the 23-year-old needs time to adapt. Even with the bench cam footage, it is obvious that the player is just not very outspoken when not on the pitch.
