Misfiring attacker Birkir Bjarnason lasted just 45 minutes before he was substituted off against Boro and he clearly doesn’t deserve a starting XI role at this point in time.
The 29-year-old got a rare chance to impress, but he well and truly blew it on Tuesday night.
He missed a headed chance during his time on the pitch and doesn’t look like he has the quality to help Villa have a successful season.
His replacement Albert Adomha looked much more lively in the second-half and should be above him in the pecking order.
