Mohamed Salah could quit Liverpool after what pundit has spotted – ‘it’s time to go’

Frank McAvennie has suggested Mohamed Salah could quit Liverpool at the end of the season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Salah might not want to stay at Anfield next season if their current poor form continues.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes (14 March), the 30-year-old could follow Roberto Firmino out the door in the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain tipped as a potential destination for Salah.

It is believed that Jurgen Klopp’s side would consider offers for the forward but value him at £70million.

The Egypt international’s current contract runs until 2025 after signing an extension last summer.

After losing Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich in the summer, Firmino is also set to quit the club at the end of the season.

When asked if Salah could follow them out the door, McAvennie told Football Insider:I think there is a chance he would go, I think there is always a chance if they keep going the way they are going.

I do not think the manager will go anywhere but they cannot keep going like this. They can’t keep being so up and down, there is no in-between with them.

Last year Liverpool would get a result even if not all of them played well, but they are not getting those results this year. They can’t keep doing that.

There will be people thinking about moving. Liverpool is a huge club and I can’t see many people wanting the players there at the moment.

He has just broken all the records so now might be the time for him to go.
