Mohamed Salah: Klopp will be ‘absolutely buzzing’ as Liverpool training ground footage emerges – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed Jurgen Klopp will be “absolutely buzzing” to Mo Salah back in Liverpool training so soon after his international exploits.

However, the former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, warned the Reds would have to manage the 29-year-old’s workload

Liverpool posted training ground footage to Twitter earlier today (8 February) to reveal Salah has returned to Kirkby just days after playing in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Egypt star and his teammates were beaten by Senegal in a penalty shootout on Sunday (6 February).

Hutton insisted Salah’s return would be a welcome boost on Merseyside.

Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I bet you Jurgen Klopp’s absolutely buzzing. On the other side of it, he will know he’ll have to be careful.

“Salah has played a lot of football in a different country, with the pressure on his shoulders that he’s had to deal with. Being the captain of his nation and everything that went along with it.

“Klopp will have to manage him properly but of course he’ll be welcomed back with open arms. They are going for the league, as difficult as it might be.

“Wow, to have somebody of his quality back in the squad is excellent. He’ll be more than happy but he’ll just have to monitor him. Give him the extra day off here and there and maybe watch his minutes.

“He’ll be really happy to have him back.”

Salah missed two Premier League games during his time away.

The Reds beat Brentford and Crystal Palace, scoring three goals in each.
