Mohamed Salah: Liverpool planning for life without star man after source’s contract update – pundit
Liverpool are already planning for life without Mohamed Salah, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England full-back hailed Liverpool’s “exceptional” recruitment as Salah’s future remains up in the air.
A club source told Football Insider earlier this month (5 February) they are hopeful of securing their talisman to a new deal now he has returned to Merseyside following the Africa Cup of Nations.

The superstar winger is under contract at Anfield until the end of next season but Liverpool have not been able to tie him down as he demands wages of £500,000-a-week.
“I don’t think Liverpool fans should be worried,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If you look at the recruitment they have done, they’ve brought in players who can replace Salah.
“Their recruitment over the past few years has been exceptional and they are clearly planning for the future. At some time, Mo Salah will not be available, whether that be through a move or age.
“Liverpool have identified that and put in the good recruitment now to try and negate those issues when and if it does happen. It might not happen now but if it does then Liverpool have got a plan for that.”

Jurgen Klopp added Luis Diaz to his rotating cast of forwards from FC Porto in January for an initial £37.5million fee.
Diogo Jota, who moved to Anfield in the summer of 2020, has also stepped up further this term with 17 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.
In other news, there has been a big update on Roberto Firmino’s future at Liverpool as Klopp makes up his mind.
