Mohamed Salah: New plan revealed today after ‘huge’ Liverpool talks development behind the scenes – Sources
Mohamed Salah wants to stay in the Premier League if he cannot agree a new contract with Liverpool, Football Insider understands.
Fresh doubts have emerged over the future of the Egyptian superstar after Jurgen Klopp admitted on Friday the club have made no progress in attempts to secure him to a new deal.
A source with knowledge of Salah’s situation has told Football Insider that he wants to stay in the Premier League even if he has to leave the club where he has developed into one of the world’s outstanding players.

The preference of the 29-year-old, who turns 30 in June, remains to stay at Anfield but he and his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, have dismissed the club’s most recent contract offer.
Salah wants £500,000-a-week to stay at Anfield, which he has claimed is not “crazy” given his achievements at Liverpool.
Behind the scenes, club’s owners Fenway Sports Group still believe what would be a “huge” agreement can be secured with their star man ahead of the summer.
His current deal expires in June 2023, meaning that the coming weeks are likely to prove pivotal to the final outcome.
If the stalemate continues Liverpool will face a choice between cashing in or keeping him in the hope of striking a deal while running the risk of losing him on a free.
Football Insider was told by ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny last week how it would be “the biggest disgrace ever” if Liverpool did not offer Salah the contract he so richly deserves.
“He’s the best player in the Premier League and failing to agree a new contract with him would be the biggest disgrace ever,” Kenny said.
“There’s no way Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want him there for the next three or four years. He knows he’s irreplaceable and he’s the best around. Compromise and agree a deal.”

Salah has increased his bargaining power with his extraordinary performances this season.
His 34 appearances in all competitions have yielded 27 goals and 10 assists.
In other news, Liverpool are well on course to make extraordinary £550million-plus announcement.
