Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia react to Andrey Santos’ passionate Chelsea message

Chelsea teammates were full of praise for Andrey Santos as they reacted to his message following the Club World Cup victory.

The Blues booked their place in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Palmeiras.

Cole Palmer opened the scoring with a composed finish, but Palmeiras hit back through Estevao — who is set to join Enzo Maresca’s squad after the tournament — firing in a stunning equaliser off the crossbar.

Chelsea, however, left it late once again, with an own goal from Agustin Giay in the 83rd minute securing the win and keeping their hopes of lifting more silverware alive.

Meanwhile, Santos was handed his Chelsea debut earlier the tournament, and was a late addition to the starting XI after Reece James suffered an injury in the warm-up. The Brazilian impressed in midfield alongside Enzo Fernandez, showing composure beyond his years.

Following the victory, Santos shared a message with supporters as Chelsea look to cap off their campaign with another trophy.

Chelsea stars react to Andrey Santos after Club World Cup win over Palmeiras

The young Brazilian took to Instagram after Chelsea’s victory over Palmeiras, sharing his excitement with supporters.

He captioned his post with: “What amazing night!!! We keep dreaming, guys! Thanks for your support,” Santos wrote, following his impressive display in midfield.

Several Chelsea teammates showed their support, with Malo Gusto commenting “my brother” and new signing Mamadou Sarr replying with heart emojis. Other players, including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Christopher Nkunku, also liked the post.

Santos spent last season on loan at Strasbourg, where he caught the eye as one of Ligue 1’s brightest young talents, ending the campaign with 10 goals and three assists. He played alongside fellow Chelsea loanee Djordje Petrovic during his time in France.

His future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain, however, with both Bayern Munich and AC Milan registering interest in Santos ahead of the new season.

Whether he has done enough to force his way into Maresca’s long-term plans is yet to be seen, but his performance against Palmeiras will certainly give the manager a welcome selection dilemma.

Chelsea face key Christopher Nkunku decision amid Man United links

Despite Nkunku showing support for Santos on social media, his own Chelsea future remains up in the air.

Football Insider revealed that the Nkunku is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with the arrival of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap further limiting his opportunities in the squad.

Nkunku has been linked with a move to Manchester United, although it remains to be seen whether he would be keen on staying in England following a difficult two-year spell in West London.
