Morgan Rogers sends six-word message to Aston Villa fans after confirmed news
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has taken to social media to thank the fans after signing a new deal at the club.
It’s been a good week for the 22-year-old, making his England debut in their 3-0 UEFA Nations League win over Greece and now signing a new deal that will keep him at Villa Park until 2030.
Rogers has had a fine start to the season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 15 games across all competitions for Unai Emery’s side.
The club clearly have immense faith in the youngster and will seek to build the side around him after tying him down to a new five-and-a-half-year deal on Tuesday (November 19).
Morgan Rogers commits future to Aston Villa
Villa have dropped off somewhat after an impressive start to the season, losing four consecutive games across all competitions.
Rogers has been a stand-out during a poor run, notably scoring their only goal in Villa’s heavy 4-1 defeat to a struggling Tottenham side.
His new deal could prove to be the boost fans and players need going into the hectic festive period, with the forward taking to Instagram to express his delight.
Emery has worked wonders since joining the club back in 2022, leading them to their first Champions League qualification since 1982-83 last season.
Villa may be down in ninth but they’re just one point off Chelsea in third and could return to the top-four spots with a win over Crystal Palace on Saturday (November 23).
