Morgan Whittaker, Lawrence Shankland: Rangers update on ‘big-money offers’
Rangers are waiting on Champions League qualification before pressing ahead with big-money forward offers, sources have told Football Insider.
The budget for the remainder of the summer window will depend on qualification for the group stages of the European competition.
Rangers will play Dynamo Kyiv in the third qualifying round, with the away leg taking place on 6th August, while the home leg takes place on the 13th.
If they overcome Dynamo Kyiv, the Gers will go on to face Salzburg or FC Twente in the Champions League play-off.
Should the Scottish giants fail to qualify for the Champions League, they would still be guaranteed participation in the Europa League.
Rangers’ financial issues have been no secret this summer, halting their progress in making big signings.
Philippe Clement has publicly stated that all of the squad are available for the right price, with sales helping to boost his transfer kitty.

The Scottish giants previously tried to sign the Plymouth Argyle star in January but were unsuccessful.
They are long-time admirers of Whittaker, but they face competition from Wolves and Brentford to sign him.
Shankland is available at a cut-price this summer as he enters the final year of his Hearts contract, but Rangers still need to find that money.
The Gers have recently sold Connor Goldson and Sam Lammers to help bolster their financial situation.
