Dembele delivers Twitter message to Celtic fans after Inverness rout

Celtic goalscorer Moussa Dembele was jubilant on Twitter after netting another hat-trick in the 6-0 Scottish Cup fifth round victory over Inverness on Saturday.

Dembele netted his second hat-trick in the space of just six days – and the third of the campaign – following his earlier haul in the 5-2 win over St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The France U21 international now has an outstanding goalscoring record of 26 goals from 40 appearances in all competitions this season, and continues to earn the highest praise since arriving at Parkhead in the summer.

Following the impressive victory over Inverness, Dembele took to his personal Twitter account to share his delight at scoring yet another hat-trick, whilst also praising the performance of his team-mates and the fans for their support.

The 20-year-old returned to the starting line-up on Saturday, and needed just 45 minutes to net his first goal of the afternoon.

After Mikael Lustig’s opener, Dembele’s powerful effort from the edge-of-the-box beat goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams in the Inverness net.

He pounced on a loose ball five minutes after the restart to add his second, before latching onto James Forrest’s cross to complete his hat-trick.

Dembele has proven to be an invaluable asset to Brendan Rodgers this season, however, his scintillating form is likely to attract further attention from abroad in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea were reportedly keen on a deal for the striker last month, while the Mirror on Sunday claim that Arsenal are now eyeing a £40million bid.

In other Celtic news, John Hartson has heaped praise on Dembele after his 14-minute hat-trick.
