Nathan Patterson: Pundit shares ‘oh my god’ verdict as Everton outcast in ‘horrible situation’
Nathan Patterson will be questioning his Everton future after failing to impress Frank Lampard.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the youngster’s prospects.
Patterson, 20, was not even in the matchday squad for Monday’s (7 March) loss to Tottenham and he is yet to make his Premier League debut since his January move from Rangers.

The Scotland international’s only appearance for the Toffees was a start in their 2-0 win over Boreham Wood in the FA Cup on 3 March but he was hauled off at half-time.
Kenny insists the sacking of Rafael Benitez has been a problem for the defender.
“That’s the problem, you see it all the time,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Lampard didn’t sign him, he’s a Benitez player. He’s started out of favour because he wasn’t signed by Lampard.
“Maybe Rafa had plans to get him into the team over the next few weeks but that’s not what Lampard wants, clearly.
“It looks to me that Lampard doesn’t fancy him. He will be thinking ‘oh my god, what have I done here?’
“It’s a horrible situation to be in. it’s difficult because you can’t be demanding a move.
“You have to knuckle down and try to earn a place in that team.”

Patterson played 11 times for Rangers in the first half of the season, including three appearances in the Europa League.
The 20-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with Everton following his £16million move from the Gers at the turn of the year.
