Neco Williams and Morgan Rogers respond to Brennan Johnson’s latest Tottenham message

Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson has caught the attention of Wales teammate Neco Williams, as well as Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, with his latest social media post.

Johnson scored the winner as Spurs beat Manchester United in the Europa League final, to secure their first piece of major silverware in 17 years.

The Welsh winger bundled home Pape Matar Sarr’s cross in the 42nd minute, and the North London side held on in the second half to lift the trophy.

However, despite European success, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Tottenham are going to sack Ange Postecoglou, and appoint a new manager ahead of next season.

Rogers and Williams react to Johnson

Johnson had a fairly consistent season in the Premier League, scoring 11 goals and picking up three assists, but Spurs were woeful, finishing the campaign in 17th.

In the Europa League, both player and club flourished, with the attacker picking up five goals, as Tottenham won the whole competition.

Taking to Instagram, Johnson posted a collection of photos from the off-season, as well as some pictures of the European celebrations.

Rogers commented with a handshake emoji, while Williams responded with a thumbs-up in the comments.

Football Insider Verdict

Postecoglou’s future has been in the balance since Tottenham’s form dropped off midway through the Premier League season, and many supporters have been calling for him to be sacked for months.

However, many believed that success in the Europa League would be enough to ensure the Australian saved his job.

Now it seems as if the decision is made, but the length of time to come to an outcome has left the North London side lagging behind their rivals once again.

Without a confirmed manager, Tottenham are missing out on transfer opportunities, with their squad needing a huge amount of improvement after a dismal domestic campaign.

Whoever comes in to replace Postecoglou will have precious little time to get his feet under the table, before big money moves need to be made.
