Neco Williams sends Nottingham Forest message after shock drubbing

Neco Williams has sent Nottingham Forest fans a message following his part in their shock 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth.

Forest were thumped on Saturday (25 January) following a hattrick from Dango Ouattara and goals via Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo.

It was only Forest’s fifth defeat of the season, and scoreline was a shock considering they boasted the second-best defence in the league heading to the game.

The defeat allowed Arsenal to create a three-point gap between them, while it also took the pressure off Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

It was the first time Forest had been beaten in nine games across all competitions, which was a run that had seen them defeat Man City, Man United, and Tottenham to build up their title credentials.

The defeat also marked the first time Nuno Espirito Santo’s men had failed to score a goal since their 1-0 loss against Fulham on 28 September.

Neco Williams is looking for Nottingham Forest to bounce back

Williams took to Instagram to react to the defeat, but he made it clear that they’re not going to dwell on the result.

He said, “Now it’s how we react and bounce back,” as the full-back looked ahead to what is next.
