Celtic player ratings v St Johnstone: Two starters 4/10 in stalemate

MIDFIELD

Eboue Kouassi – 5: Just like Ajer, played almost a level down from his performance against Zenit, badly missed the presence of either Scott Brown or Olivier Ntcham beside him that would have helped his game
Tom Rogic – 4: Played like a player who hadn’t played for three months, some nice touches on the ball but generally on the fringes of the game, will take time for him to get back to his best
Callum McGregor – 5: Just couldn’t get going in the game at all, tried to influence proceedings as the captain but failed to impose himself, again missed the presence of Brown beside him
Charly Musonda – 5: Some nice touches and tried hard but struggled to massively impact the game, although it has to be said he was singled out for some rough treatment from St Johnstone
Scott Sinclair – 5: Failed to take the chance to get himself back into the side for the second leg against Zenit, aside from a shot that was saved by Mannus late on he failed to impose himself on the game
