Newcastle United fans have turned to social media to voice their upset at Aleksandar Mitrovic’s admission he is seeking an exit from the club in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Serbian striker, who has established himself as a firm favourite at St James’ Park with his passion and enthusiasm on the pitch, was quoted on the personal Twitter account of the Chronicle’s Lee Ryder as slamming the club’s treatment of him and insisting he is looking to leave next month for the good of his career.
His honest admission over his future plans have left the Toon Army devastated, with fans taking to Twitter to show just how upset they are at his imminent departure.

Since signing from Belgian top flight side Anderlecht back in the summer of 2015, he has gone on to make 72 appearances for the Magpies, scoring 17 goals and chipping in with a further 10 assists for his team mates.
However he has found himself as manager Rafael Benitez’s third choice striker this season, behind both summer signing Joselu and last season’s top scorer Dwight Gayle in the pecking order on Tyneside.
This season has seen him fail to start a single league game, with six substitute appearances garnering a single top flight goal.
