Newcastle fans rip into two players after what they did vs Wolves, one only completed three passes
Newcastle United fans are looking back on their summer transfer business in a different light after Sunday’s draw with Wolves.
It ended Wolves 0-0 Newcastle at Molineux, with the Magpies unable to find a way past the home side’s defence.
Joelinton had the best chance in the final stages, but he placed his header straight into the arms of Jose Sa.
Yoane Wissa has recently returned for Newcastle after spending months out injured following his £50million move from Brentford.
The other big-money arrival in the attacking third, Nick Woltemade, has attracted praise for his performances this season, but has struggled of late.
Newcastle United fans slam Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade
Newcastle sold Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a Premier League-record fee in the summer, after a saga that lasted months.
The Magpies had been looking to retain the Sweden international, but ultimately accepted his cries for an exit when they secured the signings of Wissa and Woltemade.

But recent months have proved that the 26-year-old was not so easy to replace. The German has shown promise, scoring regularly at the start of the season, but now goals have become less regular.
Wissa, too, has not yet found his feet since returning from injury. Both players featured against Wolves and left very little impression on the game.
Woltemade managed to take just two shots before he was replaced, with the DR Congo international not even managing one. It does not help that Eddie Howe has refused to pair them together so far.
Newcastle fans expressed their frustration on social media, with one exclaiming that the two “couldn’t tie Isak‘s boots“.
Another said that both strikers look “useless”, while one X user said “they aren’t good enough at all!”
Newcastle fan Stephen Howlett said: “Woeful at the top end of the pitch again. The strikers aren’t getting enough of the ball but when they do get it, both Woltemade and Wissa have to do miles better, just hits off them.”
Newcastle situation demands change from Howe
Newcastle are now without a win in any of their last three games, having failed to score in either of their previous two.
In both games, Howe opted for his normal four-three-three, with a lone striker flanked by two wingers.
But could it finally be time for the Englishman to show some invention and look for a change? The Magpies have two big-money, effective strikers, who could well form a great partnership.
It may mean Howe is forced to break up his formidable midfield three, but if it brings more goals for Newcastle, it will be worth it.
