The youngster is going from strength to strength thanks to his constant presence in the starting XI, and his enthusiasm was critical to the Magpies picking up the opening goal.
He was rather exuberant in the way he threw himself over Thibaut Courtois after poking the ball at the Belgian goalkeeper, and he really does not need to be trying to deceive referees when in that sort of position.
A game against Chelsea is always going to test the players to their limits but the former Norwich man acquitted himself well, taking on some of the best defenders the Premier League has to offer and winning a couple of battles.
