Brought into the side to replace regular starter Joselu, he showed just what he can offer the Magpies up front.
His determination and drive was a constant thorn in the Chelsea defence and it was simply a case of being the most alert to open the scoring, after some hard work in the build up.
However he found chances at a premium after as the Blues turned their performance up a notch, which starved the Magpies of possession and therefore attacking threat.
