Back into the fray after being axed against Chelsea last weekend, the American had a lot to prove to both himself, the fans and most importantly Rafa Benitez, following a run of disappointing displays.
He marshalled the right flank well in the first half, and pulled off an impressive last ditch tackle to deny Jamie Vardy, despite claims that it could have been a penalty.
However his second half outing lacked the necessary composure and he was completely caught out in the build up for Leicester’s second.
His poor form is proving a real issue for both Benitez and his team mates, and there must be a change moving forward.
