With Jamaal Lascelles back among the first team action, there will be question marks over which of Newcastle’s centre backs drops out in place of the club captain, with Clark having taken the armband against the Foxes.
The added responsibility seemed to lift his performance in the opening 45 minutes, with a sense of bravery and command which was epitomised by throwing himself in a tackle to deny the Foxes right in front of the goal.
However he saw the opposition net twice and struggled to command his fellow defenders in the same way Lascelles has shown – is his position under threat? Fans will have to wait and see.
