Brought into the side for the second successive week in the absence of Jamaal Lascelles, you can see Clark dropping straight back out when the club captain is fit.
There was no sense of command at the back from the Republic of Ireland centre back, and his defensive positioning was woeful for the first and third goals.
Clark is not a bad player, but he needs the right sort of presence beside him, and the style of Florian Lejeune means there is more onus on Clark to do the dirty work, something he clearly struggles with after this outing.
