The summer signing from Eibar is growing week by week, and despite having seen his side concede three goals he was one of the better performers on the pitch.
He is confident with the ball and that is what Newcastle need at the back – unfortunately it does not work for Ciaran Clark as a defensive partner, which is why the Magpies desperately need Jamaal Lascelles back from his injury layoff.
A dominating presence, there should be high hopes for the future with Lejeune at the back – but results like this will not help his case.
