Newcastle told to accept Alexander Isak offer – expert: ‘there’s been talks’
Newcastle United duo Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes have been tipped to leave the club this summer amid transfer interest.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Scotland striker Frank McAvennie explained that Callum Wilson will provide a ready-made replacement for Isak, 24, so he could be the one to be let go.
Meanwhile, Guimaraes, 26, has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal who could tempt him to move while Newcastle struggle with financial concerns.
Football Insider, meanwhile, reported that the club are confident of holding onto Guimaraes despite the interest, while Isak is on Arsenal’s list of transfer targets this summer.

It has been reported that the club are confident they could keep both players, with multiple other first-team players looking likely to leave, although interest remains strong.
McAvennie, however, claimed both players could leave, with Isak the most likely to depart St James’ Park this summer.
“It’s Guimaraes and the boy Isak, they’re the two that could go,” he told Football Insider.
“I would sell Isak, he’s the one, because there’s Callum Wilson coming back from injury who could take his place if he leaves and he’s fit.
“Guimaraes has been different class, but it depends on who comes in for him.
“There’s been talks about Arsenal wanting him but it could be anyone coming in to sign Guimaraes.

“I don’t know if they can afford to keep him.
“They’re the richest club in the world but it’s stupid that they might have to sell to buy players, I don’t get it.”
